By hiring people with unique backgrounds and experiences, we foster a diverse and inclusive workplace. The Role:This is a 12-month maximum term contract where you will manage product categories for assigned customers, working closely with senior category managers as an expert in product dynamics and shopper insights. As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing channel strategies to drive long-term growth for product categories;
  • Providing expert analysis, product performance, and shopper insights/dynamics to internal and external customers;
  • Recommending optimal promotional strategies that deliver against key metrics for success;
  • Reviewing and providing recommendations on distribution, pricing, product mix, and profitability via customer-specific data, aligning with cross-functional teams to execute plans;
  • Combining shopper insights and expert product analysis to develop shelf strategies that tap into key growth opportunities for product categories and retailer partners;
  • Leading product deep dives using data and research to identify trends, insights, and commercial opportunities;
  • Working cross-functionally to plan, manage, track, and evaluate new product launches, including post-implementation reviews and leading or supporting product management projects;
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance.
 To succeed in this role, you will require:
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in FMCG, preferably in category-related roles with customer-facing exposure;
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with experience using IRI, Nielsen, or Quantium;
  • Exposure to shelf management software such as Apollo, JDA/Blue Yonder;
  • High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Customer/consumer-centric focus seeking to drive win-win outcomes;
  • Excellent presentation, story-telling, and strong communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Relevant degree in Business/Marketing or a related discipline.
