Product Category Specialist

This role focuses on continually enhancing our product range, overseeing all aspects of product management, pricing, promotions, and placement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team to achieve sales growth, profitability, and market share targets by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop the category strategy by gaining a thorough understanding of customer insights & market trends to contribute to business objectives.
- Curate ranges, refine pricing, and promotion channel plans in line with the category strategy, utilizing customer and market insights to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure that all products ranged within the category meet Australian consumer law requirements and are approved through quality assurance processes prior to ranging product lines.
- Proven experience as a category manager in a large retail organization or FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with divisional strategies and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Ability to become an industry expert in the field of responsibility within Australia.
- Passion for product and product development, staying at the forefront of innovation and continuous improvement.
