
Program Development Specialist

As a key professional in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of integrated program support and advice.
This role requires strong coordination and systems expertise to manage and deliver localized workforce transitions and related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and advice to senior leaders on general policy frameworks and develop strategies, programs and systems that impact the workforce.
- Design and implement systems and frameworks to operationalize and track work program utilizing business governance, communications, and stakeholder expertise and knowledge base.
- Offer authoritative and expert advice on strategic work program planning for the group including workforce transitions and machinery of government changes.
- Utilize high level of expertise in government operations to research, prepare and deliver comprehensive strategies, reports and business cases.
- Operate as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, identifying issues and delivering solutions that support group and departmental objectives.
- Drive excellent stakeholder engagement, building and sustaining trusted relationships with senior and influential partners.
The Team
You will be working within a dynamic team that supports the mission of creating greater sport and active recreation participation opportunities for all Victorians.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation and Combat Sports (ORCS).
Our goal is to maximize economic, social and health benefits and enhance Victoria's livability through the management of major sports facilities, grant programs, capacity building, and more.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
- Project Management: Consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; produces detailed project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified.
- Planning and Organising: Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; identifies more and less critical activities and operates accordingly.
- Problem Solving: Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably; uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems.
- Stakeholder Management: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
