Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a Team of Document Controllers: You will be responsible for leading a team of project-based Document Controllers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of document control services.
  2. Collaborate with Project Teams: You will work closely with project teams to understand business needs and develop effective information management frameworks to support project delivery.
  3. Develop and Implement Document Control Processes: You will be responsible for developing and implementing document control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  4. Provide Training and Guidance: You will provide training and guidance to staff on document and information management matters, ensuring that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  5. Coordinate Information Exchange Systems: You will be responsible for coordinating the deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of information exchange systems, ensuring that they are functioning effectively and efficiently.
  6. Develop Relationships with Stakeholders: You will develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  7. Resourcing and Backfills: You will be responsible for resourcing backfills for site-based document controllers, ensuring that projects are adequately resourced to meet their document control needs.
  8. Develop Document Control Materials: You will develop and maintain document control-related materials, including policies, plans, procedures, manuals, and guidelines.
Requirements
  1. Leadership and Management Experience: You will have experience in leading and managing teams, with a proven track record of success in document control and information management.
  2. Technical Expertise: You will have expertise in deploying, maintaining, and decommissioning information exchange systems, such as Bentley ProjectWise.
  3. Industry Knowledge: You will have knowledge of information exchange processes in the construction industry, including business analysis concepts for process requirements and improvements.
  4. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: You will have well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  5. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: You will have strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet strict timelines and work under pressure.
