About the Role

The Contract Inspector plays a pivotal role in ensuring electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet Unitywater's requirements. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with contractors and sub-contractors to achieve this goal.

This involves maintaining accurate records of events and reporting progress on-site, conveying clear instructions and advice, reviewing fabrication drawings, assessing progress payments, and conducting quality audits to guarantee construction performance meets Unitywater's standards.

  • Prior experience in overseeing contractors and onsite construction activities
  • Relevant qualifications and a current Queensland Electrical license (unrestricted)
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering drawings and processes
  • A strong grasp of SCADA / PLC systems, radio / TCP / IP communications, and instrumentation used in the water industry
  • Prior experience in producing effective progress reports
