At Allcare, we're committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that empowers our clients to live their best lives. As a Community Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients with personal care, medication management, community support, and household assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting as appropriate to the client's capacity;
  • Supporting clients with medication reminders, assistance with Webster packs or insulin, and blood pressure checks (with relevant training);
  • Assisting clients with daily community interactions and appointments, grocery shopping, attending outdoor activities, and meeting up with social groups;
  • Transporting clients to medical or personal appointments, collecting or dropping off at services or shopping; and
  • Providing household assistance such as meal preparation, cooking meals, and general help around the home.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • A great attitude with a genuine interest in helping others and a can-do approach;
  • An understanding of the care needs of older people and a commitment to providing quality care;
  • The ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment;
  • Reliability and a commitment to keeping your availability up to date;
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a fully insured vehicle;
  • A mobile phone with Internet access;
  • Willingness to undertake a National Police Check History check;
  • Valid working rights in Australia; and
  • A minimum of two COVID-19 vaccination doses and willingness to obtain the annual Influenza vaccination each year.
