Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Advisor to join our Health, Safety and Sustainability team at InvoCare. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of our HSE strategy and initiatives across NSW and ACT locations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HSE strategies, plans, and initiatives in line with assigned timeframes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including line managers, team members, HSRs, committees, and other HSS team members
- Provide internal advisory services, promoting and coaching on HSE program implementation and risk management
- Support operational management and teams on a day-to-day basis
- Utilize strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve desired HSE outcomes
- Implement audit and assurance programs according to schedule, including close-out of associated non-conformances and observations
- Tertiary qualifications in an HSE discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a large, diverse, and multi-site organization
- Broad understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environment, and Workers' Compensation legislation in relevant jurisdictions
- Demonstrated results in improving safety culture and HSE performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing health, safety, and environmental challenges
