About the Role

Zenergy is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HSEQ department, you will be responsible for ensuring onsite safety compliance in all areas of our projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement proactive health and safety strategies to improve standards on site.
  • Administer and implement the HSE Plan daily on site, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Review and approve subcontractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspection walks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Present on-site safety training to build HSE competency and compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Previous hands-on safety experience within construction, fit-out, or new builds.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing health and safety legislative requirements and understanding current legislation within the state.
  • Ability to prioritise and complete action plans with detailed reporting.
