Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist with experience working on complex transmission line projects. This role requires managing and coordinating site activities in conjunction with the Project Manager, ensuring safe and successful project delivery.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all site-based operations, including managing safety, time, cost, and quality, as well as supervising sub-contractors and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • This role may involve working on rosters that include 11/3 or 10/4 days on/days off, depending on the project location.
  • The successful candidate will have opportunities to work on Substation projects and other initiatives, leveraging their expertise to drive results.
Key Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Managing and supervising the site-based delivery of projects, prioritizing safety and risk management.
  • Coordinating sub-contractors and ensuring the quality of their work.
  • Ensuring project risks are managed according to established protocols.
  • Building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships, including sub-contractors, clients, and internal staff.
  • Providing supporting documentation to inform forecasting and resource allocation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A trade qualification in the Electrical field or a related construction or engineering discipline.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects focused on transmission lines, meeting deadlines, and achieving high-quality results.
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills, with the ability to manage large-scale projects (over $10M) and lead site crews and sub-contractors.
