Salary

We offer an estimated annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience, based on industry standards in Sydney.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Chefs and other Managers from different departments. Key responsibilities include maintaining good communication levels, setting up stations for breakfast, lunch or dinner, preparing and cooking plated desserts, and ensuring food standards meet Sofitel Brand Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up station for breakfast, lunch or dinner
  • Assist in preparing, cooking, executing plated desserts for different F&B outlets within SSDH
  • Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques meet Sofitel Brand Standard
  • Maintain good communication level with Senior Chefs and other Managers from different Department

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • 1-2 Years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • A genuine passion for gastronomy
  • A working understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
