About the Role
The Editor will be responsible for driving the omnichannel editorial direction of WHO, including cover and content strategy, issue forward planning, and managing the omnichannel content team to deliver on all KPIs and goals in line with the brand strategic plan, budgets and timelines.
Duties
- Ideate and secure commercially strong content, including cover line-ups and digital content in line with best practice using SEO and key data insights
- Maintain a high-quality editorial content mix across pillars and platforms
- Execute on strategies set by Are Media's Centres of Excellence (Social, SEO, EDMs)
- Manage, lead and inspire 5+ direct reports
- Drive a united cross-platform Omni Channel team with a shoppable mindset
- Drive and maintain best practice workflows
Key Requirements
- 10 + years relevant experience in magazines/digital media
- Be a true WHO brand champion
- Be commercially driven to achieve revenue and EBITDA targets across the brand
- A history in creating, editing or commissioning quality omnichannel journalism
- Strong contact list that spans across talent, PRs and media
- Drive a united cross-platform omnichannel team
- High attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work positively with a wide variety of stakeholders and be efficient in managing up as well as down
- Experience in/understanding of working across multiple platforms
- Flexibility to change and ability to manage the related demands
