HSEA Specialist Job Post

Job Summary

This is a role within our organization that requires strong leadership and collaboration skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental activities in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a workplace culture of excellence in safety, environment, and quality performance.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to implement and provide training, information, and support for HSE accountabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a role model demonstrating care for others, safety, environment, and quality outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Nationally recognized qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety and/or Environment and/or Quality Management or equivalent qualification and/or 3 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated examples of effective relationship building skills at all levels.
  • Demonstrated use of effective persuading and influencing skills to positively impact achievement of role requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Has a working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated results in identifying and implementing continuous improvement.

Other Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors and contractors ensuring they sign the visitor book in and out.
  • E nsure visitors and contractors wear appropriate PPE and have completed necessary inductions and risk assessments.
  • Perform general reception and clerical duties, including answering and diverting incoming calls.
  • Send and receive post and courier deliveries.
  • Complete weighbridge and dispatch responsibilities as required.
  • Complete export tasks in weighbridge and assist drivers when needed.
  • Assist with document control and archiving of records under the direction of the Plant Manager.
  • Restrict access to the office area to authorized personnel and maintain document confidentiality.
  • Attend and document meetings as required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, exceptional telephone skills, sound Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to proactively undertake a broad range of administrative related activities and basic quality related activities.
