Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

The role of a Financial Operations Specialist is to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. This involves managing accounts receivable, processing customer invoices, and resolving any disputes that may arise.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have a solid understanding of transactional accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and outstanding invoices.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile AR accounts and address any discrepancies.
  • Perform periodic credit checks and credit limit evaluations for new and existing customers.
  • Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, providing insights and recommendations for improving cash flow.
  • Process incoming payments, allocate them to the correct customer accounts, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve customer disputes and issues that may impact payment collections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to AR functions.
  • Prepare regular AR-related reports for management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong competence in AR/AP functions.
  • Solid understanding of transactional accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Adaptability and openness to change in a dynamic work environment.
