Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy that aligns with Qantas' business objectives and priorities.
  • Provide internal communications leadership and counsel to senior stakeholders, including the Head of Change, Communication & Continuous Improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement communications plans that target Global Airports strategic priorities.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders to drive critical program outcomes through communication and engagement with the frontline.
  • Apply a systems thinking approach to communications that focuses on the business unit and the broader Qantas Group.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in internal, external, stakeholder communications role, or similar.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders while navigating critical and conflicting objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic business issues into effective communications within a large and complex organization.
  • Strong and confident stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional written and digital communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the industrial relations framework, its application to the business unit, and issues.
  • Ability to drive a high-performance culture and spark engagement within an organization.
  • Broad knowledge of the Qantas Group or airport operations would be advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communication, Journalism, or relevant working experience would be advantageous.
