Aboriginal Youth Justice Policy Specialist

Our organization is seeking a Senior Policy Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at reducing Aboriginal over-representation in youth justice.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive analysis and insights on Aboriginal youth in the justice system, collaborate with key stakeholders, and provide high-level policy advice to departmental executives and ministers.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive data-driven decision making by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets related to Aboriginal youth in the justice system.
- Develop and implement strategic policies and initiatives designed to reduce Aboriginal over-representation in youth justice.
- Provide timely and effective advice to departmental executives and ministers on high-profile reforms.
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with Victorian Government administrative processes and key Aboriginal governance mechanisms.
- In-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and society, including historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and advisory groups, with awareness of culturally sensitive engagement practices.
