About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead our mining projects, working closely with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet and exceed our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Process Engineer in leading the team by taking responsibility for portions of the design and mentoring junior team members.
  • Develop and check process deliverables, including design criteria, mass balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, P&IDs, and control philosophy.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, subject matter experts, and client teams to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to the review and optimization of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering, with 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an engineer in detailed design in the minerals industry, including direct experience in developing typical detailed engineering deliverables.
  • Expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in particular fields of mineral extraction is highly regarded.
  • Well-developed skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
