Job Description

A Senior Process Engineer is required to join our Brisbane-based team. The ideal candidate will have a background in process plant design across base metals and demonstrated success in delivering studies and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the process team on studies and projects and check key process deliverables related to your field of expertise (such as design criteria, mass & energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, etc).
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, and client teams to deliver projects successfully.
  • Contribute to the review and optimizations of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.
  • Interface with global equipment suppliers to stay up to date with technological developments.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in mineral processing, chemical engineering or metallurgical engineering with 10 years' experience.
  • RPEQ Membership.
  • Previous industry experience within mining and mineral processing, ideally within EPCM.
  • Proven experience in design across base metals and/or Gold.
  • Essential Experience with design and implementation of floatation and comminution processes.
  • Comminution circuit modelling and simulations- Essential.
  • Process design experience including process mass balances, process flow diagrams and process support services.
  • Systems design experience including piping and instrument diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, hazard and operability design reviews and systems support services.
  • Familiar with technical specifications and Australian and international codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Experience using Metsim, Sys CAD or similar.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
