Job Summary

A key role in business transformation is the delivery of change management services across projects and initiatives.

This specialist focuses on identifying and managing change impacts and related people risks to a multi-year program of work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading change management activities for projects and initiatives aligned with the Transformation Program, ensuring changes are prioritized and executed.
  • Managing a portfolio of projects across SSA requiring fit-for-purpose and varying levels of change management advisory and specialist hands-on support.
  • Identifying, planning, and implementing change management requirements to support successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Program Managers, Sponsors, and key stakeholders to develop and implement effective change management plans.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed change artefacts, work plans, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of change initiatives.
  • Applying and utilizing a Change Management Framework, processes, tools, and activities.
  • Supporting the development of Leader-Led Change capability for Austal's people leaders, Change Champions, Project Managers, and key internal and external stakeholders to strengthen organisational change maturity.
  • Enhancing organisational capability in change management through coaching and mentoring initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Management, Organisational Development, or Communications.
  • Hold a Change Management certification at practitioner level or higher (Prosci or similar).
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience leading and managing digital change initiatives in complex organisation environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in change impact and complexity assessments, mapping change requirements, design, and delivery of sustainable change in a long-term setting, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Providing change management services in a portfolio of projects in multiple concurrent functional areas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability and commitment to establishing and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience working in fast and complex organisational environments.
