About the Role

Argus Media is seeking a highly skilled Business Development professional to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a Business Development Manager for Biofuels and Oil Products, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing relationships with key industry stakeholders, and driving growth in our biofuels and oil products business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies for Argus' biofuels and oil products business in Australia and the Pacific region.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including producers, users, financiers, developers, and traders.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote Argus' position and gain an in-depth understanding of the markets.
  • Collaborate with business development teams in Singapore and London to expand Argus' reach in the biofuels and oil products markets.

Requirements

  • A strong bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce, Economics, Journalism, Communications, Business, or a relevant field.
  • At least five years' experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent Argus in meetings with senior businesspeople, traders/brokers, and government officials.
  • A strong understanding of the global and/or local biofuels and oil products markets, with the ability to analyze industry trends and develop pricing strategies.
  • Experience in creating presentations and reports in a fast-moving business environment.
