About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that volunteers have the skills, knowledge, and information they need to support the delivery of great participation experiences.
Reporting to the Head of Community Customer Support, you'll be responsible for delivering against the established Volunteer Action Plan, considering strategic ambitions and societal trends related to sport volunteering.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a year-round Volunteer Recognition Program, including the delivery of awards.
- Work closely with the Capability team to ensure education and training needs for volunteers are facilitated.
- Lead the delivery of an annual program of education designed to support volunteers, parents, coaches, coordinators, and officials.
- Develop a comprehensive volunteer onboarding & induction program that sets volunteers up for success.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Community Sport, preferably with a focus on club and volunteer environments.
Relevant tertiary qualifications with a major in Sports Management/Administration/Development degree.
Experience in leading people both directly and indirectly.
A strong commercial mindset that can look around corners and identify opportunities.
Experience with utilising and enhancing use of customer relationship management tools, Microsoft PowerBI, learning management systems, and content management systems.
Comfortable with presenting to large audiences and collaborating with others.
Strong stakeholder relationships and comfortable having courageous conversations.
High levels of attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously.
