We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Consultant with expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), to join our dynamic infrastructure team, based in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, automation, and support of complex cloud and virtual infrastructure solutions across enterprise and secure environments.

*Responsibilities:*

  • Deploy and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, ensuring integration with vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
  • Lead infrastructure transformation and migration projects from on-premise to private/hybrid cloud.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code templates and blueprints for scalable and repeatable deployments.
  • Work closely with security and networking teams to ensure compliance and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the virtual and cloud environments.
  • Create documentation, design artifacts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development.

*Skills and Experience:*

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware technologies.
  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF): Lifecycle management, workload domain deployment.
  • Solid understanding of software-defined data center (SDDC) principles.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerCLI, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Ansible, Terraform – desirable).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • VMware certifications such as VCIX, VCAP, VCP-NV, or VCP-DCV are highly regarded.

  • VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
  • VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP-NV)
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VCIX in DCV/NV/Cloud
  • VMware Certified Specialist – vRealize Automation 8.x
  • VMware Cloud Foundation Specialist
