Job Title: Medical Specialist - Gastroenterology Expert

Attracting and retaining top medical talent is essential for delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Consultant Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at Rockingham Hospital's Surgical and Specialist Care Division.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in gastroenterology, with a strong track record of providing specialist services to patients. They will be expected to lead the team, promote patient safety, and provide leadership and education to Doctors in Training and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality gastroenterology services to patients
  • Promote patient safety and quality of care through effective leadership and collaboration
  • Provide guidance and training to junior doctors and other healthcare staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and other consultants to achieve national, state, and service performance standards and targets
  • Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined by the Area Medical Credentialing Committee

Selection Criteria:

  • Postgraduate qualification in medicine or a related field
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Current and valid Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration
  • Specialist training and experience in gastroenterology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
