Rural Enterprises seeks a motivated and experienced Farming Operations Specialist to join their team. Located in the heart of Victoria, this role offers a unique opportunity to work on a mixed farm operation comprising 80% cropping and 20% sheep.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of farming operations, including preparing, sowing, spray & fertilising and harvest. They will also carry out maintenance and repairs of equipment, occasional truck driving, animal husbandry, and ongoing maintenance/repairs and improvements to farm infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced and understands mixed farming operations and what is required to assist in the smooth operation of the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a good attention to detail, be mechanically minded and cost conscious, with the ability to work autonomously and competently operate various machinery associated with sowing and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing, sowing, spray & fertilising and harvest
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • Occasional truck driving
  • Animal husbandry
  • Ongoing maintenance/repairs and improvements to farm infrastructure
About You

We are looking for someone who is experienced and enthusiastic about working in a mixed farming environment. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in Agronomy and be willing to settle either independently or with their family and secure long-term employment.

A Min HC licence is preferred, but may be negotiable dependant on additional skills you can bring to the role. Good maintenance skills, welding and fabrication skills are a bonus.
