About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Specialist to join our team at Affinity Education Group. As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organisation remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders for investigation and resolution of compliance matters.
  • Verify and implement corrective actions to address non-compliance issues and ensure timely closure of incidents.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of regulatory actions, notices, and breaches in our Compliance Management System.
  • Track and ensure timely actioning and closure of non-compliance notices, breaches, and enforcement actions.
  • Assess and itemise required actions and evidence to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collate and submit professional and orderly documentation to relevant departments within expected deadlines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and stay up-to-date with changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Diploma (or similar) qualification in Early Education and Care (ECEC) (desirable but not essential).
  • Similar experience or skill set such as paralegal would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum 2 years' quality/compliance officer experience for a large provider.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ECEC sector and relevant legislation (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policy, process, and the National Law and Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Time management and attention to detail.
