Job Title: Mining Industry Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to provide support to our tradespeople on site. This role involves working closely with the trades team to ensure that all equipment is maintained, serviced, and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with maintenance, repair, and installation of mining equipment, undertaking manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment, cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment, and operating machinery and equipment as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting tradespeople with maintenance, repairs, and installations of mining equipment
  • Undertaking manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
  • Operating machinery and equipment as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Trades Assistant in a mining or heavy industrial environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
