Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Old Toongabbie site.

The Role

In this position, you will carry out mechanical repairs and maintain all plant equipment and facilities, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report incidents, near misses, and hazards using the appropriate report forms
  • Immediately report any serious near misses, hazards, or injuries to senior management and the Environment or Health and Safety Manager
  • Maintain quality (GMP) and regulatory performance in the department to meet the quality program
  • Analyse and troubleshoot mechanically oriented problems using drawings and technical manuals
  • Set up, fix, service, examine, adjust, put into operation, and troubleshoot high-tech machinery and equipment based on hydraulic and pneumatic principles
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing setting
  • A current and relevant recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Proficiency in PC and software tools
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry governing fluid power systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
