Key Responsibilities- Process weekly pays accurately and on time, adhering to relevant awards and agreements.
- Manage all aspects of payroll transactions, including leave, overtime, new starters, and terminations.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records, ensuring confidentiality of employee information.
- Provide professional and efficient support to stakeholders, responding to inquiries and providing guidance on payroll-related matters.
- Collaborate with senior team leaders and people managers, offering advice and support on employment relations processes.
- Prepare and distribute reports as required, ensuring compliance with financial and taxation requirements.
- Support the General Manager Finance with payroll-related tasks and projects.
- Proven experience as a payroll officer, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
- The ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly.
- Understanding of awards and award interpretation.
- Knowledge of Micropay beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work harmoniously as part of a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to problem-solve and multitask.
- Positive attitude towards change and continuous improvement.
