Senior Design Manager Role Overview

This is a senior role where you'll play a crucial part in the business's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and program the design process effectively to ensure timely progress.
  • Identify, coordinate and drive consultants to complete detailed design and documentation within specified timeframes.
  • Challenge consultants appropriately and act with flexibility and curiosity to come up with effective design solutions.
  • Identify and recommend cost-effective construction strategies and methodologies, incorporating them into the design.
  • Ensure compliance and contractual obligations are met throughout the process and within design.
  • Manage client relationships with integrity and fairness to achieve successful outcomes.
About You
  • You will have a passion for design and a commercial mind, influencing the business moving forward.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Design or Construction Management coupled with extensive experience in a Design Management role.
  • Previous experience working on sizeable new build projects, particularly in Industrial or Multi-residential sectors.
  • A commitment to coaching and mentoring team members, promoting knowledge sharing and career development.
  • A strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost efficiencies through design.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • An ability to identify and manage risk.
