Base pay range

A$160,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yr

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the full design delivery for major high voltage substation projects. These roles require the ability to integrate multiple engineering disciplines in an EPC environment while ensuring designs are practical, compliant and ready to build. These roles would suit Design Managers who are currently performing in a role like this or Site based Senior Project Engineers looking to get back into the office in a DM capacity.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Take full ownership of design delivery, managing scope, cost and schedule
  • Act as the single point of responsibility for design performance on allocated projects
  • Coordinate and integrate multi disciplinary design teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, control, protection and HV cable or OHL systems
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineers to achieve best for project outcomes
  • Resolve technical issues and maintain design momentum
  • Ensure quality, safety and environmental standards are met throughout the design lifecycle
What We Are Looking For
  • 10 years or more experience in engineering, design management or project delivery roles
  • Background in high voltage substations
  • Proven capability in EPC environments and strong site delivery understanding
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills in multi disciplinary teams
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver to time, cost and quality targets
