Job Title: Plant Manager With Blown Film Experience

At our manufacturing facility, we seek a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to drive efficiency and productivity, and a proven track record in managing production teams.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Operations in creating and implementing a strategic vision for increasing production, quality, and labor utilization.
  • Provide leadership to ensure effective use of plant personnel and equipment.
  • Rapidly respond to communication on job status, quality, scheduling, shipping, and customer satisfaction.
  • Take overall responsibility for all processes, employee safety, and housekeeping to meet plant performance goals related to safety, waste, quality, and productivity.
  • Create documentation protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Lead department/shift personnel by fostering a culture of engagement through empowerment, skill development, setting expectations, providing guidance, maintaining individual accountability, coaching, training on technical and soft skills, conducting performance appraisals, rewarding, disciplining as needed, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimal day-to-day operations to exceed internal and external customers' expectations.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives and provide clear direction and focus.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise employees.
  • Review and improve products and processes.
  • Create and implement organizational or departmental goals, procedures, and policies.
  • Monitor operations and generate corrective actions.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with management, functional organizations, customers, and suppliers.
  • E nsure established policies, rules, and regulations are followed.
  • Model good work ethic and prioritize continuous improvement initiatives with team members, such as visual management, problem-solving, 5S, to enhance production quality, cost, downtime, processes, and procedures.
  • Facilitate robust communications within and across shifts and with other departmental resources.
