About the Organisation

Lifeline Direct is a subsidiary of Lifeline Australia and serves as its direct service delivery arm. It provides vital crisis support, mental health and suicide prevention services across a broad geographical footprint.

About the Role

The Board seeks to appoint a Director to build upon the significant work and success of the current team. This role requires governance oversight shaping the future of the mental health landscape in Australia.

This role requires expertise in digital and data governance or mental health to complement the skill set of the board.

About You

You are an experienced professional with deep expertise in one of the following areas:

  • Digital Strategy & Data Governance – Proven experience in digital technologies, information management, privacy, and cyber security within service delivery contexts.
  • Mental Health – A qualified clinician or a leader with significant experience in regulated mental health settings. You bring strong clinical or operational expertise, underpinned by a deep understanding of clinical governance and the unique requirements of regulated environments.

You bring governance expertise, strategic insight, sound judgement and a commitment to improving outcomes for help seekers. You are collaborative, purpose-led, and ready to contribute to a high-performing, skills-based Board committed to LLD's mission.

Key Requirements

Digital Strategy & Data Governance

  • Experience in digital technologies, information management, privacy, and cyber security within service delivery contexts.
  • Proven track record in implementing digital strategies that drive business growth and improve outcomes.

Mental Health

  • Qualifications in mental health, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Significant experience in regulated mental health settings.
