We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fire Communications Officer - Emergency Response Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, responding to emergency situations and providing critical support to our firefighters and emergency services personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and assess situations to determine the most appropriate response.
  • Dispatch and coordinate resources to emergency incidents, ensuring timely and effective response.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of emergency incidents, including incident reports and resource allocation.
  • Provide critical support to firefighters and emergency services personnel, including providing information and resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with other emergency services agencies to ensure effective response and coordination.
  • Participate in training and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current Blue Card (from Blue Card Services) with attached evidence.
  • Australian Citizenship, New Zealand Citizenship, or Australian Resident Status.
  • Certificate III in Public Safety (Emergency Communications Centre Operations) or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to successfully complete training programs, including the Communications Training and Professional Development Program (CTPDP).
Desirable Requirements
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm with 95% accuracy.
  • Apply First Aid and CPR Certificates.
