Senior Project Manager (AV)

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with expertise in leading complex audio-visual projects.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of large-scale AV projects, ensuring successful delivery, operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. This involves managing project labour forecasting, staffing levels, and resourcing across multiple projects, including national locations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures to ensure efficient project delivery and inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and leave/timesheet approvals for project teams.
  • Supervise project delivery and commissioning teams to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and budget expectations.
  • Provide technical input post-sale, support design reviews, and attend sites for guidance and supervision.
  • Conduct safety meetings, ensure adherence to company standards and industry regulations, and monitor continuous improvement.
  • Review project performance through WIP meetings and risk tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing large complex projects in the AV industry.
  • A hands-on approach with practical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, people management skills, and team building capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain and develop industry/technical knowledge.
  • Manage their time efficiently and prioritise tasks.
  • A sound understanding of audio-visual systems and other related construction service disciplines.
  • Proven experience in managing project teams.
