We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment and systems for events.
About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires technical expertise in audio visual equipment and excellent organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV technology, leadership skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Setup and install audio-visual equipment including sound systems, microphones, projectors, video screens, lighting systems, and other AV components as required.
- Configure AV equipment based on event requirements and technical specifications.
- Operate and monitor audio and visual equipment throughout events to ensure optimal performance and make adjustments as necessary.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV equipment before, during, and after events.
- Interact with clients and event organisers to understand their audio and visual requirements.
- Provide technical recommendations and solutions based on client needs.
- Coordinate with other event vendors (e.g., catering, venue staff) to integrate AV setups seamlessly with overall event plans.
- Maintain a safe working environment during AV setups and operations, including proper handling of equipment and cables.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as an Audio & Visual Technician, preferably in a live event or hospitality setting.
- Technical expertise in setting up and operating AV equipment such as sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, and lighting systems.
- Familiarity with audio-visual technology, including digital signal processing, audio mixing, and video streaming.
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Customer service-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in AV setup, operation, and maintenance.
