Job Overview

 

We are seeking a qualified educator to assume responsibility for delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity and ensuring that students receive high-quality education.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and instructions with professionalism and integrity.
  • Managing classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
  • Ensuring students follow set work and remain engaged throughout the session.
  • Acting as a point of contact for any issues that arise during lessons, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Reporting back to senior staff on student progress and classroom conduct.
  • Promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity in all aspects of the educational process.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting, preferably as a cover supervisor or teaching assistant.
  • Strong classroom management skills, including the ability to lead confidently and make sound decisions.
  • A genuine passion for education, child development, and supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of educational policies, procedures, and best practices.
