Job Responsibilities

Support recruitment processes by drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, and coordinating interviews.

Assist with onboarding and induction processes for new team members, ensuring they feel welcome and supported.

Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting requirements, providing valuable insights into our organisational performance.

Coordinate training and development opportunities for staff, helping them grow and develop their skills.

Support workplace health and safety initiatives as needed, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes, identifying areas for growth and implementing changes.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • A background in administration, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong interest in HR or working towards a diploma in HR.
  • Experience in recruitment or HR administration, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficiency in using HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • A passion for supporting community-focused initiatives, with a desire to make a positive impact in people's lives.
  • Aboriginals or Torres Strait Islanders are highly encouraged to apply, bringing their unique perspectives and experiences to our organisation.
