Support Class Teacher

A dynamic opportunity awaits an experienced and passionate Support Class Teacher to join our community of dedicated professionals. We are seeking a highly skilled educator to provide exceptional support and care for students with diverse learning needs.

Job Description:

As a Support Class Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters the growth and development of students with Autism and/or mild-moderate intellectual disability, and/or other disability. You will work collaboratively with the class teacher and support staff to deliver high-quality education and support services.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications in Religious Education or willingness to undertake relevant study;
  • Active and committed Catholic or ability to support the ethos of a Catholic school;
  • Special/Inclusive Education qualification or commitment to gaining qualifications;
  • Experience teaching in a support class or similar setting;
  • Ability to provide adjustments to meet individual learning needs;
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:

This is a permanent full-time position with a four-year appointment commencing in 2026. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a talented team of educators and contribute to the development of innovative programs and services.

Others:

The appointee must hold Level B Accreditation in accordance with the To Work, Teach and Lead policy or commit to gaining this level within five years. A Working With Children Check is also required prior to employment.
