Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle, capacity, performance, and risk management of nominated systems.

This role involves close collaboration with architecture and delivery teams to plan, design, and execute relevant solutions and business project outcomes. As the System Technical Owner of nominated systems, you will ensure seamless operations and optimal system performance.

  • Manage the nominated platforms/systems in relation to lifecycle, capacity, performance, and risk management.
  • Support Architecture and Delivery teams in the planning, design, and execution of relevant solutions & business project outcomes.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with other engineering domains, the broader Technology organisation, and relevant vendors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation (including governance) of OSS and Security related integrations such as PM, FM, CM, Security, Log Management, User Management, Lifecycle currency & roadmap planning.
  • Capacity planning relevant to system BVM demands.
  • Performance analysis & optimisation facilitated by engineering & operations.
  • Provide support to operations team during critical network incidents and system outages.
  • Risk and Tech Security management and treatment plans.
  • Contribute to regular platform / systems reporting per agreed domain profiles.
  • Engage with relevant vendors including managed services vendors to ensure acceptable capacity lifecycle and performance management of systems and network interfaces.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience on Fortigate SD-WAN solution ecosystem and specifically FortiGate VM02v Appliance, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiPortal & FortiWeb systems.
  • Strong expertise in technology security (security best practice, vulnerability management and mitigations).
  • Able to participate in high-pressure situations such as network incidents and investigations and support the operations team.
  • Excellent internal customer and external vendor engagement skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience in SDWAN ecosystem, Fortinet experience is preferred, either in a Vendor or Operator environment.
