We are seeking a skilled Network and Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for maintaining secure, high-performance networks, telephony, and applications while driving upgrade projects across the business.
This role reports to the Monitoring Technology Group Manager based in Sydney. You will partner with our Global Network team to resolve operational challenges, ensure the provision of 24/7 support, and mentor peers to nurture a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure uninterrupted service by delivering rapid incident resolution and high-level technical support for complex network, telephony, and enterprise application environments operating 24/7.
  • Implement and document robust maintenance protocols—including regular backups, patching, upgrades, and daily health assessments—to uphold system stability and data integrity.
  • Architect and deploy scalable, secure network infrastructures that align with evolving business needs and enhance overall system resilience.
  • Oversee the administration and optimization of core network systems, using proactive troubleshooting and system evaluations to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Provide clear technical updates to stakeholders, establish comprehensive disaster recovery strategies, and maintain detailed operational documentation to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies (CUCM, UCCX, CUBE) and telephony integration platforms (Cloud-based telephony platforms, MS Teams).
  • Proficient in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and site-to-site VPN setups.
  • Thorough understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), IP addressing, and subnetting strategies.
  • Skilled in system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performing critical health checks under high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL/T-SQL, Windows Server, Active Directory, Citrix, VMware, DHCP, and DNS administration.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related STEM field is required.
  • Industry recognised certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), are highly desirable.
  • Ability to obtain or hold a Security Licence is necessary.
  • Australian Driver's License is required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and telecommunications is essential.
  • Demonstrated success operating within a complex and/or global organisational environment is crucial.
  • Advanced proficiency in managing IT networks and telephony systems, including associated applications is required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders, with a strong understanding of business needs and priorities is mandatory.

What We Offer:

  • Career Growth: Access to professional development programs and training opportunities.
  • Our Employee Benefits Program offers discounts on travel, accommodations, retail, entertainment, and health and wellness services.
