Project Finance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced project finance specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of large-scale defence projects, ensuring effective financial management, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to complex projects, working closely with stakeholders to identify issues and drive continuous improvement in project finance and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Developing and implementing budgeting strategies, tracking expenditure, and forecasting costs to ensure project success.
  • Financial Planning: Managing workforce plans, timesheets, monthly accruals, and financial reporting to support project decision-making.
  • Document Control: Ensuring accurate, compliant, and accessible project records are maintained.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Delivering project status reports, performance analysis, and change management support to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Improvement: Engaging with stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continuous process improvements in project finance and controls.
Requirements:
  • Experience in project finance, project accounting, or project controls, preferably within Defence or a complex industry.
  • Proven expertise in EACs (Estimate at Completion) and strong financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and well-developed communication and time management skills.
  • A detail-oriented, analytical approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A current or eligibility to obtain AGSVA security clearance (mandatory).
