Job Description:

This role offers the opportunity to deliver critical energy infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand.

You will gain hands-on project experience, technical mentorship, and exposure to innovative engineering solutions in transmission, distribution, renewables, traction power, and utility grid connections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support design and analysis of substation primary systems, earthing, cable rating, lightning protection, and insulation coordination studies.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of protection and control systems, ensuring alignment with Australian Standards and client requirements.
  • Prepare drawings, calculations, reports, and technical documentation while developing skills in industry-standard software.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and client meetings alongside senior engineers.
  • Contribute to bids, tenders, and technical deliverables that shape future projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Final year student or recent graduate in Electrical Engineering.
  • A strong interest in power systems - whether Primary or Secondary.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A curiosity to learn industry tools and apply Australian Standards in real-world projects.
