
Electrical Engineer for Traction Power Systems

About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team delivering projects for key Rail industry clients across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing and maintaining electrical systems, including traction power substations, high voltage wiring systems and SCADA/PLC control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical systems to meet client requirements
- Install and commission electrical equipment, including high voltage substations and wiring systems
- Test and maintain electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Provide training and support to apprentices and junior engineers
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
- A current Victorian A Grade Licence
- RIW Card an advantage
- High Voltage Cable Jointing an advantage
- SCADA, PLC and Control Wiring experience an advantage
- Data and Comms experience an advantage
- Ability to read electrical plans and diagrams
- Good understanding of electrical standards and regulations
- Post apprenticeship trade experience
- Infrastructure experience in Traction Power and/or Industrial Power Systems an advantage
