About the Role

bestchance Child Family Care is a non-profit organization seeking an exceptional Speech Pathologist to join our dedicated Children's Therapy team. As a key member of our team, you will work as part of a transdisciplinary Key Worker Model with a team of Allied Health professionals.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality services, integrating the developmental and therapeutic needs of children, to increase children's meaningful participation in daily life. This role will focus on building the capacity of children, families, and communities through individual and group clinical work (both in clinic and in the community).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech pathology services to children aged 0-10 years and their families
  • Work as part of a transdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practice guidelines
Requirements
  • Eligible membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Experience working with children as a clinician/therapist within Speech Pathology
  • Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
