Job Title: Strategic Rail Planning Lead

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Rail Planning Lead to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. As a key member of our rail planning team, you will be responsible for leading strategic rail planning projects, developing business cases, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders to identify opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team delivering strategic rail planning projects, focusing on the Queensland market.
  • Develop and implement business cases for rail projects, including rail operations, engineering advisory, and rail network planning.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to identify and shape opportunities related to strategic rail planning.
  • Lead integrated multi-disciplinary project teams, including technical rail operations and planning, engineering advisory, transport demand modeling, and broader transport planning and economics.
  • Guide the performance of the team to meet client outcomes, deliver tangible benefits, and maintain profitability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • Masters' Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant post-graduate experience in rail planning and strategy development.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in business case development process in Australia, especially in Queensland.
  • Well-connected to rail professionals in Queensland, especially with decision-makers from governmental organizations.
