As a Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counsellor/Educator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering culturally responsive alcohol and other drug counselling and case management services. Your expertise will be matched to individual client needs and treatment goals through a stepped care approach.
You will provide comprehensive assessment, screening, treatment planning, brief interventions, and psycho-social counselling to individuals, families, and significant others affected by AOD use.
- Deliver structured AOD counselling and case management services
- Provide comprehensive AOD assessment and treatment planning
- Support clients with post-treatment care and relapse prevention

Hop Community Services' Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service provides free, confidential, and culturally safe support for individuals, families, and significant others impacted by AOD use.
This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by AOD use and to work with a values-driven organisation that prioritises dignity, respect, and empowerment.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or related field
- Experience in AOD services and knowledge of community treatment options
- Demonstrated understanding of social disadvantage and cultural security
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
