Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will work at a landfill site ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. They will also provide technical assistance and support to the landfill management team on environmental matters.

  • Analyze soil test results and prepare detailed reports to inform environmental management strategies.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of environmental compliance programs, including record-keeping and reporting.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to the landfill management team on environmental matters.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of innovative environmental solutions.
  • Assist with the development of site master plans and contract management, and compilation and submission of tender documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of National and State guidance for environmental management of contaminated land and landfills.
  • Knowledge of soil sampling techniques and environmental monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and liaise with several regulatory agencies.
