Adult Speech and Communication Specialist Opportunity

Your Role: Provide high-quality adult speech pathology services in a mobile setting, supporting individuals with dysphagia and communication needs.

  • Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties in adults living in residential aged care facilities and the community.
  • Develop and implement personalized intervention plans to improve clients' quality of life.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and support coordinators to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing appointments and calendars for flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Conducting assessments and providing interventions via telehealth or on-site visits.
  • Traveling to regional locations as needed to support clients.
  • Participating in internal workshops, professional development programs, and clinical supervision to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with active membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation for travel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
