Early Childhood Educator Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at North Essendon Kindergarten. This is a part-time opportunity until the end of term 4, providing a chance to contribute to the implementation of high-quality, innovative play-based programs.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that meet the individual and group interests, strengths and needs of children.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Implementing the Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework, and curriculum frameworks in a way that prioritizes child safety and well-being.
  • Developing positive relationships with children, families, and educators, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.
  • Creating opportunities for children to engage in intentional interactions, promoting learning and development.
  • Documenting children's progress, both individually and as part of a group, to inform future educational planning.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of curriculums within the learning program, ensuring alignment with national standards and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent, possess a strong understanding of Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework, and curriculum frameworks, and be able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • A valid Working With Children Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management, and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences.
