Rail Track Maintenance Specialist

About the role
McConnell Dowell Constructors is seeking a skilled Rail Track Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Sunshine, Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing rail track machines, working night shifts and contributing to the smooth operation of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and maintaining a set of rail track machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Performing night shift duties, including responding to equipment breakdowns and conducting repairs.
- Creating fault reports and following up with diagnosis and parts required to minimize downtime.
- Coordinating with operators to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
- Conducting routine preventative maintenance and repairs to prevent equipment failures.
- Ensuring the required tool kit is carried and using specialty tools provided by the company.
About you
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical fault finding is an advantage, but not required.
- White card certification is mandatory.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and management.
