Job Title: Civil Maintenance Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Water Civil Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Dandenong South, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a field delivery team and directing activities required for the efficient and effective delivery of O&M and minor projects of water field services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and advocating in accordance with Service Stream's values of Safety, Delivery, People and Accountability
  • Managing and monitoring designated site activities to ensure project compliance and safety is always adhered to
  • Performing daily checks on civil maintenance staff field staff ensuring that they have completed their relevant training and hold the correct licenses
  • Reviewing and improving KPIs and data validation of works
  • Actively performing site audits and inspections
  • Assisting in the development and review of Safe Work Methods (SWMS)
  • Administration of the relevant field technicians, including approving timesheet data, processing leave requests, reviewing and correcting JAMS validation errors
  • Maintaining spending within limits of authority and maintain costs within budget requirements
  • Actively fostering a collaborative relationship with the client
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Current Driver's License
  • Certificate III/IV in Civil Construction or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience within the Water (or other underground utility) industry operations
  • Experience dealing with stressful time limited environments
  • Strong commercial experience
  • Ability to interpret and understand civil/mechanical drawings and scopes of work
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • High level interpersonal skills with the ability to positively influence team members and working relationships
  • Understanding of SWMS, risk assessment and analysis
  • Strong Client focus
